Here are a few things to consider before including your pet:
- Check with the ceremony/reception facility to make sure pets are allowed. In some cases there is an extra fee if an animal will be present, while other facilities have a no animal’s policy.
- Is your dog obedient and will he/she follow instructions?
- Is your dog behaved around crowds or noisy places?
If the above check out then practice the steps with him or allow him to get use to wearing his wedding attire. This way your sure to have fewer problems come wedding day. You may want to ask a family member or friend to be in charge of the dog that way you know he is being looked after and the stress of worrying about where he is and what he is doing is gone.
If you decide that having your pet present on your wedding day just won't work, consider showing your love for your four legged friend in other ways:
-Include a dog/cat cake top figurine on your wedding cake.
-Include your favorites photos of your pet along with a number and use as table numbers.
-Consider naming your signature cocktail after your pet (i.e Lucy's Love Punch)
